A mobile ramp is available for wheelchair access, and there is also an accessible restroom. However, please note that there is no elevator at this location.

Your safe is located in a high-security safe that meets the stringent requirements of security category 4+. This is the highest security category in Denmark. This means that, among other things, the safe is excellently protected against fire and theft and is monitored 24/7.
Up to what amount is my safe insured?
By default, the contents of your safe deposit box are insured for DKK 330,000 of the box type “Small”. You have the option to increase your insurance cover to DKK 670,000 at any time.) The cover applies per individual safe deposit box. It is also possible to rent multiple boxes and divide your valuables between them for higher coverage.
What do you need to rent a safe deposit box in Copenhagen v/Nørreport station?
You must be in possession of a valid European identification document. At CitySafes the following documents are valid as proof of identity:
- EU passport
- Danish Driving License (after the first visit)
Can I rent a safe with someone else?
Yes, you can designate your partner or a family member as a co-tenant. Your co-tenant will have access to the safe deposit box just like you with the keys, even if you are not there yourself. Master tenant and co-tenant are equals on the contract. Adding a co-tenant can only be done in person at the office. You must both be present with valid identification to do so.
Is it possible to rent a safe for business?
Yes, you can. To do so, you must bring an extract from the company register with you to your appointment. The extract must not be more than three months old and must contain your name. Alternatively, you can also bring your company’s VAT number and IBAN with you to the appointment. If all documents are in order, nothing stands in the way of renting your business safe deposit box at CitySafes.
Are there any additional costs besides the rent?
You pay a one-time deposit of DKK 650 per safe for keys and lock. If you return all keys at the end of the rental agreement and there are no outstanding payments, you will receive a full refund of the deposit within one month.
During our opening hours, you can visit your safe deposit box free of charge without any restrictions. Would you like to visit your safe outside of our normal opening hours? This is possible by appointment. CitySafes charges an administration fee of DKK 250- incl. 25% VAT.
If you lose one or both keys, you will be charged for this. The price for one lost key is DKK 2,500 excl. VAT and for two lost keys the price is DKK 4,500 excl.
Do I always retain 100% ownership of my goods?
You remain the legal and economic owner of your property at all times. It does not matter whether you keep your properties in our depot, or in your own safe deposit box. Contrary to the practice of most banks, your property is not part of the estate in case of bankruptcy.
