We have a comprehensive security concept to the highest standards, which is monitored and evaluated 24 hours a day in our emergency control centre.

High security vaults.

Our vaults are built of reinforced concrete and the walls are almost a meter deep. Our vault doors are made of armored steel and feature the latest security locking technology. The armored steel door is always locked and alarmed outside of opening hours. The entire vault is monitored live 24 hours a day from inside and outside and equipped with vibration detectors that immediately detect any movement on the walls of the vault from the outside as well.

Key not copyable and in your sole possession.

You alone have the two original keys for your locker. The keys are designed in such a way that you cannot be copied and we, as CitySafes, do not have key copies of your locker.

The locker can only be opened in a two-part security procedure (one of the two steps not sufficient to open your locker). First we have to unlock the lock with our master key and then you have to open the lock with your personal key.

Extensively screened and safety trained employees.

Our employees are experts in the locker sector, as our focus as an overall company is on the rental of safe deposit boxes. Our employees have already undergone extensive screening and comprehensive training on our security concept when they are hired.

Personal authentication for each visit.

When you visit us, we always check your ID to make sure that only you or the person authorised by you is allowed to enter the safe room with us. In addition, you must always bring the non-copiable key with you so that you can open the safe.

After my bank cancelled my safe deposit box, I looked around for alternatives and came across Citysafes. Booking an appointment was simple and straightforward. At first I was a little sceptical about not storing my valuables at a bank, but when I visited the branch, the security measures gave me a good feeling that everything was well protected. The branch is also located right in the centre of Cologne and is therefore easy to reach. I am satisfied.
